Get Outside is a multi-award-winning landscape architectural practice, specialising in the design of outdoor play and learning environments for children. The environments we provide for children hugely impact the quality of their play and learning experiences, their well-being and their delight in and connection with the world around them. We believe children of all abilities need the opportunity to explore natural environments and to also encounter acceptable risk in order to realise their potential and confidently engage with the world.
Get Outside works with play providers and educators in early childhood and school settings, with local authorities, businesses and private clients, iwi and whānau throughout Aotearoa NZ, revitalising or developing new stimulating, nature-rich play gardens and play spaces. All of our designs respond thoughtfully to the unique attributes of a space and the aspirations of local communities in order to achieve the best outcomes for our tamariki. We also enjoy designing landscapes for people of all ages to enjoy living and playing including residential design. What is good for children is good for all of us!
We offer a full landscape architectural service from concept design through detailed documentation to contract management and overseeing the implementation of our plans.
